Dr. Peterson's influence on modern equine supplementation began with the early development of Platinum Performance before its founding in 1996, and was further shaped by his major involvement in the first clinical trial of GastroGard. His career reflects a long-standing commitment to clinically validated, mechanism-informed, and evidence-based equine health interventions.
Private Practice: Peninsula Equine
Co-founder, 1979 to present. Peninsula Equine evolved from a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing practice into a dedicated sport horse and performance medicine clinic, building multidisciplinary teams capable of managing complex medical and surgical cases at the highest level.
