SMS Consent Policy
SMS Consent Policy
How we collect and honor consent for text messages to our subscription customers.
100X Equine sends transactional SMS to existing subscription customers about their orders, subscription changes, Colic Coverage program enrollment and claims, shipment updates, and support responses. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Consent is captured verbally during a customer support phone call, following the script below.
How we collect consent
At the end of any customer phone call, the representative asks the customer for explicit consent to receive SMS. The rep reads the following script:
“Before we wrap up, I want to let you know we can text you subscription updates, shipment reminders, and Colic Coverage program notifications at the phone number you gave us. You would receive roughly 3 to 8 messages per month. Standard message and data rates may apply. If you ever want to stop, you just reply STOP, and reply HELP for help. Our terms of service are at 100xequine.com/policies/terms-of-service and our privacy policy is at 100xequine.com/policies/privacy-policy. Would you like us to text you about your subscription? Yes or no?”
If the customer says yes
The rep confirms enrollment on the call:
“Great, I have enrolled you. You will get a confirmation text shortly.”
The rep logs the consent event in our CRM with a timestamp, the rep name, and a link to the call recording. Our runtime then sends a confirmation SMS:
If the customer says no
The rep confirms and moves on:
“No problem, we will keep it to phone and email.”
The customer's SMS consent status is set to declined. No SMS is ever sent to that number.
Message frequency
Enrolled customers receive roughly 3 to 8 messages per month, depending on their subscription activity, order status, and support interactions. During periods of active support or shipment activity the number may be higher on some days.
Message and data rates
Standard message and data rates may apply based on the customer's mobile carrier plan. 100X Equine does not charge for the messages themselves.
Opting out
Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message they receive. Once STOP is received, our system honors the opt-out immediately and no further SMS is sent to that number unless the customer explicitly re-enrolls verbally with a representative and the consent is again logged in the CRM.
